Oh my goodness, it
seems ages since I wrote my blog, but the past week has been so busy full of
everything that I love, sunshine, friends, great food and beautiful places to
visit.
My little laptop has been laying there feeling so neglected, but then that’s what happens when you are enjoying yourself.
Wednesday saw us wending our way down to the South of England to stay with my very very best friend, lovely day spent with her grandchildren and Emma who has just opened this lovely shop in Bishops Waltham, if you are ever in the area give it a visit it is definitely worth it.
Then off to Alresford for lunch and a walk around this lovely village and to the water meadows which is famous for its watercress. Such pretty houses and the Mill cottage which goes over the river
Booked our holiday off to a part of France we have not visited before Biarritz
Cheap flight, lovely chambre d’hote can’t wait only 2 more weeks to go and guess what I have booked an empty suitcase to take with me!!! Hoping there will be lots of flea markets to visit.
Wednesday I have a Fair in Bideford, I was asked to do this one its an antique fair so not too sure whether my stall will fit in but was assured it would be fine, and the BBC are there filming Antique Road Trip!! Don’t think they will get any bargains from me!
Have a great week and hope the sunshine stays for a while (doubtful though!)

What a shame I missed you, Jill. I was told to look for a lady with a large camera and pretty hair! Wasn't it wonderful? Did you buy anything? I used to go to a lovely shop in Bishops Waltham which sold vintage French things but they closed and another lovely clothes shop at the top of the street which also closed down so I haven't been back there in a while. When I do go I shall look out for this shop you mention.

It was lovely to meet you and your photos are gorgeous. It was such a beautiful and inspiring day and full of the most gorgeous things for sale. I am hoping to have a stand at Village Vintage so hopefully see you there.

Hi Jill,
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous, I was going to go to the Avington fair but something came up and I couldn't so thank you for all your lovely photos, made me feel like I was there...
And what's this? You're doing another fair? To think that it wasn't that long ago when you were worried about your first one. You'll be doing them with your eyes closed soon.
Good luck, not that you'll need it with your gorgeous stuff.

ReplyDeleteAll my best
Denise
That looks like a superb Brocante Jill. I would be wanting to buy everything in sight!
ReplyDeleteLizzie's blog is lovely - what a great idea for a blog.
I know you love France just like me, and you will not be disappointed with Biarritz, it has something of a faded charm about it, in a totally good way if you know what I mean!
Maybe we will see another post from you before you go? In the meantime have a great weekend, let's hope the sun makes an appearance again!
