A little taste of Spring!!

I think today had a little touch of spring in the air and how nice was it to feel a little bit of warm sun.  Everytime the postman arrives he brings so many catalogues of new seasons clothes, gardening, and everything for your home.  But the one that I spend ages looking through and dreaming of how my garden should look is Sarah Raven’s catalogue, last year I grew her lovely wild flowers and it was a real success and I was able to take large bunches of flowers to my fairs last summer to brighten up my stall.  This year I am going to grow as many as possible and lets hope that we get the weather to see them in full bloom a lot quicker than we did last year.

Now on to other things, I always have an idea of the type of items I want  to sell on my stall, but get frustrated when I cant find them, I think it gets more difficult all the time, but tomorrow I am off to my favourite auction, one that is amongst the cowsheds and sells such a variety of things from tools to plants and then amongst the odd item there are little gems that I can pick up, things that have been laying around on farms never used that I can bring back to life I am only hoping I am going to find some tomorrow. This is what I dream of finding somehow I just can't see it happening

Last week I started doing my first fairs of the year, starting at my favourite one at Wisborough Green in Sussex, it was very busy and lovely to meet fellow blogger Charlotte from a Cottage in Totteridge, and really hope to see her again at Village Vintage in Plumpton. We stayed with friends and went home on Saturday via Devizes where I had a stall at the Vintage Bazaar at Devizes, lots of people, but unfortunately or fortunately I had sold quite a bit at Wisborough Green so my stall was a little depleted.  But here are a few photos of my stall

I have also been busy sewing this lovely bags from old french linen and lined with pretty vintage french fabrics.

Now really looking forward to the Vintage Emporiumm at Cuckfield in Sussex this Friday should be fun, such lovely people it is a delight to sell in Sussex.

I hope to find time this week to read some of the lovely blogs out there, but if you do come across my blog I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment

Hello Again!!

Away from my blog for a while, but at long last having some time to myself and time to write my blog.

It has definitely been a great year, I started a new venture Rosiebud Decorative Vintage in April and I think I have learnt such a lot in this short time and have found my niche in style and what really interests me.  I love old linens and faded fabrics along with domestic china and enamelware as well as pretty mirrors, books, and really anything that catches my eye, white china jugs, old pictures, mirrors, lovely original distressed painted furniture, and I am really looking forward to sourcing lots of new stock for my fairs in the coming year.  I have also met some lovely people, Liz & Jack, Lucy & Laura and their lovely Mum & Dad, Darcey, Debbie, Jacquie, the two Michelles, Caroline, Fenella, Ali and so many other stallholders and customers. Great admiration for the ladies who run the fairs and fellow bloggers it has been great to meet you all.

I have put together some photos to depict the year.

I just love this time of year!

My goodness I couldn't believe it but it is nearly six weeks since I wrote my blog.  But today was so beautiful that I just had to go out with my camera and capture this lovely Autumn Day, after of course visiting the Rag and Rummage fair in Taunton, had to get my fix somehow.
I am not a brown, orange or green girl but at this time of year I just love these colours, they just seem to go with blue skies and brighten up dull days (which we seem to have a lot of recently!)
So here are a few photos of my outing this afternoon not far from home.

You know I have been so busy that I feel I am neglecting my home, usually I manage to decorate in some way to celebrate Autumn but have not had the time, but don't you just love this table decoration

This beautiful wreath on the door.

If you are looking for a Christmas Fix then there are 2 fairs that I couldn't recommend more, if you live near Plumpton Racecourse in Sussex, surrounding areas of Lewis and Brighton the Village Vintage fair looks like it is going to be beautiful, with lots of lovely things to buy, I am busy making and foraging for new things to sell, really looking forward to making my stall look as inviting as possible and festive.

The other Fair is The Vintage Christmas Boutique at Woburn Abbey a magnificent setting and looks like it is going to be fabulous, bit of drive but I think it will be worth it.

I now need to visit all the other lovely blogs and will spend the next few days catching up, don't forget to leave some comments as I would love to hear from you all or maybe see you at one of the fairs.
