Pink to make the boys wink!!!

Well this week I thought I would post about Breast Cancer Awareness month, nearly at its end. I then click on one of my favourite blogs Home and guess what Jackie has beaten me to it, but I am sure she won’t mind if I go ahead anyway.

I have two friends who unfortunately had Breast Cancer it was a really tough time for them but I am so glad to report that both are doing really well and one has even started her own Interior Design business, it makes you realise how brave these ladies are and wonder how you would cope with such an illness! But here are some lovely pictures to make you think PINK.

.I must admit I did enjoy collecting all these pink pictures, I especially love the pink table laid out for tea and the lovely kitchen. In one of our old houses we had a bathroom that we inherited which had floor to ceiling in tiles - I wasn't so keen, but as it was new had to live with it for a while - so I added a really pink ceiling - I loved it.  Now I just love adding pink as accents to a room the colour just lifts the spirits as I hope it does for all those ladies who have been unfortunate enough to have breast cancer, you are all such brave ladies.

  5. Morning Jill

That is a beautiful post of pink pics etc.. When I was 35 I had a benign lump removed, which was found by a gynaecologist who obviously was seeing me about another problem, but was thorough at his appointments. It is so important to check your own breasts and go for your mammogram appointments. If you are unsure about a lump get it checked out by a nurse or a doctor.
Same with moles, I never thought that my hubby's one would be skin cancer, he still has another year of check-ups. Our health is so important!!

  7. Like you, I love pink, though was never a pink wearing little girl, nor have I ever worn it at any stage. But I love it around the home, and so in the kitchen there is a gorgeous, pig-bottom like pink kettle, just love the roundness of it and can't help stroking it every now and than. And I have had patchwork tiled splashbacks in the kitchen for the last 15 years or more, changed the colour of some of them with tile paint, but am now back to the original, four colours, cream, beige, almost tan and PINK!!!
I lost my dearest friend to breast cancer, and have known of two other acquaintances who didn't make it.

  13. Dear Jill,

Such pretty pinks. I have a colleague with breast cancer. She heard recently and is totally devastated. I hope everything will turn out fine for her. It's such a horrible decease.

  14. Dear Jill
Thank you for sharing your very pink photos with us and for raising our awareness.
I wonder when you lived in Oakhill ? It is literally only a few minutes away from here and we drive through whenever we go towards Shepton. What a small world it is!
