Somewhere Over the Rainbow!!!!

What can you find at the end of a rainbow, gold I hope I did look but it kept moving!!!
Considering its the run up to Christmas it has been quite relaxed in our house, we had a lovely few days away visiting friends and relatives. We spent the first few days with friends in Hampshire (back to where we come from!!) and visiting the most lovely house called Hinton Ampner

it was decorated for Christmas and after permission I was able to take some photos,it was the sort of house that you could imagine spending a very special Christmas there, Champagne and Canapes followed by a lovely dinner in the beautiful dining room.

The next day I visited a house that has been on my list of places to visit for quite a long time, Jane Austen's house, it is charming and well worth a visit.

A lovely few more days spent with my parents and family but it is now back to the preparations of Christmas, the house needs decorating, presents wrapped and food to be prepared.
I really love this time of year its just very special.

I did promise a give-away for when I reached 200 followers and now I have, so in the next few weeks I hope to bring you another give-away I have a few ideas in my head but you will
just have to be patient.
I know it is busy and we can't always find the time to blog, or to visit blogs, but hopefully I will find a few spare minutes to do so and blog again before Christmas.

  1. Oh Jill,
What a beautiful house Hinton Ampner is......I must put it on my list of places to visit, especially at Christmas.
Love the mistletoe along the mantlepiece....a little idea that I might copy !
....and, I just love the way those presents are wrapped in the last photo. Yet another idea that I can use !! Thanks for all of the inspiration. XXXX

  2. Wow, what a spectacular rainbow! The house looks amazing.

They are the prettiest wrapped presents that I have ever seen, I don't think that I could ever unwrap them. Beautiful!

Wishing you a fabulous and safe Christmas, Tamara x

  3. I have visited both these places but not at Christmastime. I'm wondering where you stayed and where you come from as I live in Lee-on-Solent. Have a wonderful Christmas.

  11. That rainbow picture is spectacular - it even manages to outshine that fabulous house. I took a photo of an amazing rainbow recently too but not in half as lovely a setting as that and nowhere near as good a photo.
