Hello Again!!

Away from my blog for a while, but at long last having some time to myself and time to write my blog.

It has definitely been a great year, I started a new venture Rosiebud Decorative Vintage in April and I think I have learnt such a lot in this short time and have found my niche in style and what really interests me.  I love old linens and faded fabrics along with domestic china and enamelware as well as pretty mirrors, books, and really anything that catches my eye, white china jugs, old pictures, mirrors, lovely original distressed painted furniture, and I am really looking forward to sourcing lots of new stock for my fairs in the coming year.  I have also met some lovely people, Liz & Jack, Lucy & Laura and their lovely Mum & Dad, Darcey, Debbie, Jacquie, the two Michelles, Caroline, Fenella, Ali and so many other stallholders and customers. Great admiration for the ladies who run the fairs and fellow bloggers it has been great to meet you all.

I have put together some photos to depict the year.

The beginning of the year a trip to London (one of the hottest and in March) I loved Rachel Ashwell's shop in Notting Hill
and lunch at Julie's

My first stall at South Molton in Devon
and then a glimpse of Summer
a beautiful hot day at Avington

A trip to France to this lovely B & B in Biarritz

with some great finds, but I wish we had taken the car! there is only so much you can fly home with by Ryanair!!!

Two more pics of my stall at Cuckfield and then in the Cotswolds, what a difference to the first photo!!

Pretty china and a lovely statue which I have to confess to keeping, looks great in the herb garden.
and finally the end of the year with Christmas

Things to look forward to in the new year, I shall be making some new things

Beautiful photos to Inspire

Looking forward to Spring

I just love this time of year!

My goodness I couldn't believe it but it is nearly six weeks since I wrote my blog.  But today was so beautiful that I just had to go out with my camera and capture this lovely Autumn Day, after of course visiting the Rag and Rummage fair in Taunton, had to get my fix somehow.
I am not a brown, orange or green girl but at this time of year I just love these colours, they just seem to go with blue skies and brighten up dull days (which we seem to have a lot of recently!)
So here are a few photos of my outing this afternoon not far from home.

You know I have been so busy that I feel I am neglecting my home, usually I manage to decorate in some way to celebrate Autumn but have not had the time, but don't you just love this table decoration

This beautiful wreath on the door.

If you are looking for a Christmas Fix then there are 2 fairs that I couldn't recommend more, if you live near Plumpton Racecourse in Sussex, surrounding areas of Lewis and Brighton the Village Vintage fair looks like it is going to be beautiful, with lots of lovely things to buy, I am busy making and foraging for new things to sell, really looking forward to making my stall look as inviting as possible and festive.

The other Fair is The Vintage Christmas Boutique at Woburn Abbey a magnificent setting and looks like it is going to be fabulous, bit of drive but I think it will be worth it.

I now need to visit all the other lovely blogs and will spend the next few days catching up, don't forget to leave some comments as I would love to hear from you all or maybe see you at one of the fairs.

Gorgeous fairs for the weekend!

Well I am not going to apologise but I am going to advertise two beautiful vintage fairs at the weekend. One in Hartley Witney in Hampshire

(returning to my routes and in fact to a place where I had my first date with Richard my OH) and another one in the delightful town of Dunster in Somerset.
The first one is Vintage Bazaar in Hartley Witney on 22 September starting at 10.00 pm.
There are the most beautiful stalls and one of my favourite  is Theo & Bernice where I love absolutely everything they sell.
Ali from Betty and Violet her items are so beautiful romantic well words can not describe how lovely her stall is.

Chloe has the most beautiful stall it is just a perfect delight and all you want to do is buy buy buy

Sam with her lovely candles made in vintage cups, jelly moulds etc. the smell of her candles will fill the hall.

Jacquie who has the most amazing stall, full of vintage goodies and has a stall at the renown Country Living Fair

Hesta with her beautiful fabrics and manniquins I just love her stall and have bought some lovely pieces of fabric from her.

I know that this is only a few of the stalls and everyone is a delight, so it really is a must for this Saturday, but you know what i have left the last of my favourite stalls to last and that is Lizzie and Jack's stall so many lovely things mostly from France that you definitely wont want to miss it!

I of course have a stall, so please if you are in the area come and say hello. I have lots of lovely new things for sale.

Am I mad but Sunday will also see me at Dunster which is a lovely town in Somerset, once again this will be worth a visit so hope to see you there.

Hope if you can you will visit these great fairs I can assure you it will be worth it!

Trip to Sussex

We certainly picked the right week for our trip to Sussex, wall to wall sunshine, we just couldn't believe our luck after the awful summer we have had.
Our first stop was to Petworth where we visited the Hungry Guest for bread and coffee,

we then went on to visit Petworth House,

stunning house full of art and statues.
but I just loved the servants quarters especially the chef's living room.
It was then off to the  barn, it was everything that it said, beautiful position and beautifully furnished and equiped the perfect start to our mini break.

Next day we started off early to visit Ardingly Antique Fair to try and hunt out bargains and then visited Standen House in East Grinstead which was full of William Morris fabrics and wallpapers it was a house that you feel you could curl up and read a book in front of the fire.

Thursday arrived with lots of sunshine for the Brocante Fair in Wisborough Green in Sussex, here are a few photos of the stalls, everyone had such gorgeous things, and one of the most loveliest fairs I have attended.

Today has seen me busy making more things for the fairs this month.  I am very tempted to keep this one would look so nice in my bathroom!

Hope to catch up on all your lovely blogs very soon.
